TekRek Consultants was founded by Matthew James in late 2019, after previously working at one of the world’s leading recruitment companies within the UK and European technology markets. After years of building relationships and his experience, he decided to create TekRek Consultants to address the clear issues facing the industry. In the short time TekRek Consultants have been trading, we have already made significant progress in supporting our client base with successful placements.

Due to the nature of the market we operate, we understand that 80-90% of the talent pool isn’t ‘actively looking’ for a new position. Therefore, we are consistently headhunting and establishing relationships with the highest quality candidates, so that they choose to work with us when the time is right for their next career move.

Flexibility & Work Life Balance

Our consultants are provided with full-autonomy in terms of their working hours and working location. We use a cloud-based system to monitor progress and stay in contact. This allows them to flourish in all working aspects and offers them a strong work-life balance. We also offer them the opportunity to visit clients and candidates to build even stronger bonds for the long term.

Matthew is the Founder and CEO of TekRek Consultants. His vision is that TekRek Consultants will be the technology recruitment provider of choice for all within the industry.
Matthew has a degree in Economics from the University of Manchester. Since his studies, Matthew has developed his leadership and sales qualities by working with some of the biggest financial institutions and recruitment providers in the world.

Callum joined TekRek Consultants in January 2021 to become part of our growing team of consultants within the Nordic and European technology sector. Since joining TekRek, Callum has had two promotions and now leads TekRek's recruitment operations in Finland. Callum has fantastic relationship building skills with both candidates and clients, with a proven track record of delivery.
